Music is loved all over the world and people like different genres. According to one study, the relationship between musical taste and personality is universal. It may not be wrong to say that many classical guitar players are quiet and nice people.

The study was conducted by Dr. David Greenberg, an Honorary Fellow of the University of Cambridge and a Research Fellow at Bar-Ilan University, and involved more than 350,000 people in over 50 countries on six continents.
When the relationship between music taste and personality was investigated for each person, a universal relationship was found regardless of race or region of residence.
For example, he said that conscientiousness was positively correlated with unpretentious music, cooperation with mellow and unpretentious music, and openness with mellow, modern, and sophisticated music.
On the other hand, there was an obvious negative correlation between conscientiousness and intense music.
Music as a bridge across the divide between people?
The significance of this study, according to Dr. Greenberg, is that music can be a bridge across the divide between people.
Humans are divided by geography, language, and culture, and sometimes this can lead to conflict.
However, if music has universal tendencies all over the world, then it is through music that people can understand each other and find common ground.
Dr. Greenberg is already working with Israelis and Palestinians to use music as a bridge, and I hope it works.

This study is only based on averages and people should not be judged by their music preferences.

At a music instrument store, I heard that each instrument has a different personality trait of the person who plays it,and people who play classical guitar tend to be calm and nice.
Based on the results of this study and my own experience, it seems that this is not a lie.
Of course, as Dr. Greenberg says, there are many different kinds of people who play the classical guitar, but as a general trend, it may be an instrument that can form a comfortable community.
Maybe if more people played classical guitar, the world would be a more peaceful place.
